Orbit: LEO
The DragRacer mission will test Tethers Unlimited's Terminator Tape, an electrodynamic tether that can passively de-orbit satellites in order to reduce space debris.
Alchemy, the tethered satellite, is expected to take 45 days to de-orbit.
Augury, the untethered satellite, is expected to take up to 9 years.
First stage recovery will be attempted on this flight. The Electron's first stage will splashdown under a parachute and then will be recovered by ship.
