Intelsat 17

Ariane 5 ECA carried Intelsat 17 and HYLAS-1 to geostationary transfer orbit. Intelsat 17 was built to replace the ageing Intelsat 702 at 66° East; HYLAS-1 was the first satellite of the UK operator Avanti Communications and the first public-private partnership of the European Space Agency to yield an operational mission.
