Ariane 5 ECA placed two Lockheed Martin-built communications satellites into geostationary transfer orbit about half an hour after liftoff: the 4,528 kg JCSAT-13 for Japan's SKY Perfect JSAT, bound for 124°E, and Vietnam's 2,969 kg Vinasat-2, bound for 131.8°E next to Vinasat-1.
