Intelsat 37e

Ariane 5 ECA launched two communications satellites: Intelsat 37e, a 6,438 kg Boeing-built satellite serving the Americas, Africa and Europe, and BSAT-4a, a 3,520 kg direct-to-home TV satellite for Japan's Broadcasting Satellite System Corporation. A first attempt on 5 September 2017 was aborted on the pad shortly after main engine ignition because of an electrical fault; the rocket flew 24 days later.
