EDRS-C

EDRS-C is the second node of the European Data Relay System (EDRS), a high-speed laser communications network developed by ESA and Airbus Defence and Space. Positioned in geostationary orbit at 31°E, it relays data from low-orbiting spacecraft - principally ESA's Copernicus Sentinel satellites - to European ground stations at throughput up to 1.8 Gbit/s.
