O3b FM9-12

Soyuz carried the third group of four O3b satellites, completing the initial 12-satellite medium Earth orbit constellation of O3b Networks. The launch had been moved up from 2015 to December 2014.

It was the first Soyuz flight from French Guiana since an orbital injection anomaly on the previous one, four months earlier. The Fregat upper stage released the satellites two at a time, 22 minutes apart.
