Second satellite in France's Composante Spatiale Optique (CSO) military Earth observation constellation. CSO-2 operates at a lower altitude than CSO-1 (approximately 480 km versus 800 km), optimized for high-resolution identification imagery rather than wide-area reconnaissance.
