AIRSAT 01

AIRSAT 01 and 02 (designated Zhongke 01 and 02) are the first pair in China Science and Technology Satellite Group's AIRSAT Ku-band SAR Earth observation constellation. Developed by a commercial spinoff of the Chinese Academy of Sciences' Aerospace Information Research Institute, both satellites carry a cylindrical parabolic SAR antenna - claimed by the operator as a world first in that configuration - providing sub-metre resolution imagery for agriculture, disaster prevention, and natural resource monitoring.
