Chutian 2-01

Chutian 2-01 and 2-02 are the first second-generation satellites of the Chutian Earth observation constellation, designed to operate in very low Earth orbit at altitudes below 300 km. Their bullet-shaped form factor reduces atmospheric drag - a significant factor at VLEO altitudes - and the full constellation is planned to grow to roughly 300 satellites carrying optical, SAR, and hyperspectral sensors for applications including disaster response and agricultural monitoring.
