Shenzhou 2

Shenzhou 2 was the first flight of a fully outfitted Shenzhou with all its subsystems working, a far more demanding test than the bare-bones Shenzhou 1. A monkey, a dog and a rabbit rode in the descent capsule to check the life-support system. The orbital module stayed aloft for months of further experiments after the capsule came down, though a parachute harness failure left the returning capsule to hit hard.
