Tan Ce 2

The polar half of Double Star, China's first mission to study Earth's magnetosphere and its first joint venture with ESA, which supplied much of the instrument suite as spares from its Cluster program. Flying in a high-inclination orbit over the magnetic poles, Tan Ce 2 was timed to take coordinated measurements alongside the four Cluster spacecraft already in orbit.
