Horus-1 is an Egyptian high-resolution Earth observation satellite built by DFH Aerospace with direct participation from Egyptian engineers at the National Authority for Remote Sensing and Space Sciences (NARSS), under a Sino-Egyptian technology-transfer arrangement. Its stated applications include agricultural monitoring, water resource management, land-use oversight, and natural disaster early warning, in support of Egypt's Vision 2030 development programme.

A companion satellite, Horus-2, launched 17 days later on 13 March 2023, together forming a small constellation for the Egyptian Space Agency.
