Horus-2

Horus-2 was developed jointly by the Egyptian Space Agency and China's CAST under a technology transfer agreement aimed at building Egypt's domestic satellite manufacturing capacity. Together with Horus-1 - launched 17 days earlier on 24 February 2023 - the pair fly in nearly identical sun-synchronous orbits, providing improved repeat coverage for agriculture monitoring, water resource management, and disaster response over Egyptian territory.
