Maiden flight of the Long March 12, a new medium-to-large launch vehicle developed by the Shanghai Academy of Spaceflight Technology (SAST). First launch from the Wenchang Commercial Space Launch Site, a newly opened commercial launch facility in Hainan province.

Hulianwang Jishu Shiyan 5A is a technology demonstration satellite for the Guowang (Xingwang) broadband megaconstellation.
