Shijian-25, developed by the Shanghai Academy of Spaceflight Technology, was designed to test on-orbit refueling and satellite life-extension technologies in geostationary orbit.

In July 2025, it transferred approximately 142 kg of fuel to a Beidou navigation satellite - the first successful on-orbit refueling in geostationary orbit.
