Long March 10B-X1
Planned 2026 Q3
Maiden flight of the Long March 10B (CZ-10B), operated by Chinarocket Co., Ltd., the commercial arm of CALT, designed primarily for megaconstellation satellite deployment. The 10B uses a kerosene/LOX first stage and a liquid methane/LOX second stage, with a reusable payload capacity of at least 16 tonnes to low Earth orbit.
First-stage recovery is performed at sea by Linghangzhe, a 25,000-tonne purpose-built recovery vessel. The booster descends under power and is caught by a tensioned cable array on the ship's deck; damping systems absorb the vertical energy, leaving the booster suspended above the deck.
