Chang'e 7

The mission will land on the rim of Shackleton crater at the Lunar south pole to study the lunar surface environment there, especially looking for water ice in lunar soil. The Rashid 2 rover was removed from this mission due to ITAR concerns. The launch was called off hours before its August 2026 window opened, and China's manned space agency said the mission could not fly again in 2026.
