CMS-03

LVM3 launched GSAT-7R (CMS-03), a multi-band military communications satellite for the Indian Navy, built to replace GSAT-7 in its naval network. At about 4,400 kg, it was the heaviest communications satellite ISRO had built and launched from India at the time.

The flight also re-ignited the engine of the cryogenic upper stage.
