SpaDeX (Space Docking Experiment) was India's first demonstration of orbital rendezvous and docking. The two satellites - SPADEX A (Chaser) and SPADEX B (Target), each approximately 220 kg - were deployed to a 475 km circular orbit at 55° inclination and docked successfully on 16 January 2025, making India the 4th country to demonstrate in-orbit docking after the United States, Russia, and China. The capability underpins India's plans for crewed missions, lunar sample return, and the Bharatiya Antariksh Station.

The POEM-4 non-deployable platform on the rocket's 4th stage hosted additional microgravity experiments.
