The Simorgh flew in its Saman-1 kick-stage configuration for the second time, making Iran's first attempt to reach geostationary transfer orbit. The mission failed.

Navak-1 was a 34 kg technology demonstrator equipped with a dosimetry payload to measure cosmic radiation and a magnetometer to characterize Earth's magnetic field.
