Japan's uncrewed HTV-7 cargo ship carried about 6,200 kg to the International Space Station, including six lithium-ion batteries to replace older nickel-hydrogen ones on the station's exterior. Liftoff slipped from 10 September ahead of Typhoon Mangkhut.

Three CubeSats, SPATIUM-I, RSP-00 and STARS-Me, flew inside the cargo ship and were deployed from the station on 6 October 2018.
