VEP-4

FEB 17202400:22:55 UTCVEP-4 was a 2.6-tonne mass simulator used in place of ALOS-4, which was pulled from the manifest after the loss of ALOS-3 on the first H3 test flight in March 2023. Separation of VEP-4 from the second stage was conducted about 40 seconds after the stage's deorbit burn over the Indian Ocean; stopper bolts limited its movement to about one centimetre, so the payload and stage would reenter together.
First successful flight of the H3 launch vehicle.
