NeonSat-1 was South Korea's first Earth observation nanosatellite, developed by the Satellite Technology Research Center (SaTReC) at KAIST under a Ministry of Science and ICT program. Carrying a 1-metre-resolution optical camera and onboard AI for rapid image processing, it is the first satellite in a planned 11-satellite NEONSAT constellation designed to monitor the Korean Peninsula for natural disasters.

ACS3 (Advanced Composite Solar Sail System) was a NASA 12U CubeSat testing composite boom technology for solar sails in orbit. Its four polymer-carbon-fibre booms support an 80-square-metre sail - roughly 75% lighter than prior metallic boom designs and far more thermally stable - laying the groundwork for larger propellant-free sail systems.
