NeonSat-1A is the second satellite in KAIST's planned 11-satellite NEONSAT constellation, following NeonSat-1, deployed by Rocket Lab in April 2024 on the "Beginning Of The Swarm" mission. Developed by the Satellite Technology Research Center (SaTReC) and funded by South Korea's Ministry of Science and ICT, it carries a high-resolution optical camera to monitor the Korean Peninsula for natural disasters.
