Soyuz TMA-1

Maiden flight of the Soyuz-TMA, an upgraded variant created so the spacecraft could serve as the ISS lifeboat for a wider range of crew sizes. New adjustable couches and a redesigned descent module interior eased the strict height and weight limits that had constrained the earlier Soyuz-TM.
