Soyuz MS-28
The launch vehicle carried artwork by children with cancer from 14 countries as part of Roscosmos's Rocket of Dreams project with the UNITY Cancer Patient Support Foundation. The payload fairing commemorated 25 years of continuous crewed operations at the International Space Station, dating to the arrival of the Soyuz TM-31 crew in November 2000. With MS-28 docked, all eight ISS visiting vehicle ports were simultaneously occupied for the first time in the station's history.
Exhaust from the launch damaged and collapsed a mobile service platform at pad 31/6, leading to an indefinite pause for further Soyuz launches from Baikonur. The platform had not been properly secured before launch and fell into the flame trench; repairs took approximately three months to complete.
