Arktika-M 3

Launch of the third weather satellite in Russia's Arktika-M system. The satellites fly highly elliptical Molniya orbits that spend most of their time over the far north, where geostationary weather satellites see little, and are built to image the Arctic above 60°N every 30 minutes. Arktika-M 1 and 2 flew in February 2021 and December 2023.
