S-STEP

Third test flight of the solid-fuel rocket developed by South Korea's Agency for Defense Development, and the first to carry a working satellite; the 2022 flight carried a dummy. It launched from a barge about 4 km south of Jeju Island.

The 100 kg synthetic aperture radar satellite, built by Hanwha Systems, reached an orbit of about 650 km and sent signals to its ground station.
