CAS500-3
CAS500-3 is a 500 kg-class Earth observation satellite developed by the Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI), placed in a 600 km sun-synchronous orbit to monitor space weather phenomena including aurora and airglow, and to verify space technologies in the orbital environment.
The 4th Nuri launch marked several firsts for the program: the first night launch of the vehicle, the first led by Hanwha Aerospace as system integrator after the company assumed manufacturing responsibility from KARI, and the first conducted under Korea's newly established Korea AeroSpace Administration (KASA).
