The first stage touched down on Just Read the Instructions but came in with excess lateral velocity after a throttle valve stuck during the landing burn — it tipped over on the deck and exploded. Among the secondaries was Arkyd 3 Reflight, a Planetary Resources prospecting technology demonstrator built to replace the original Arkyd 3 lost in the Cygnus Orb-3 explosion the previous year.
