Dragon carried the Orbiting Carbon Observatory-3 (OCO-3) — a carbon-dioxide spectrometer assembled from OCO-2 flight spares and mounted externally on the Japanese Experiment Module's exposed facility, extending NASA's global CO2 monitoring from a station-based vantage.
