B1049's fourth flight carried 60 v1.0 satellites to the 53° shell - including STARLINK-1130, nicknamed DarkSat, fitted with an experimental dark coating on its phased-array and parabolic antennas. It was SpaceX's first hardware response to astronomer concerns about constellation brightness; subsequent measurements showed the coating reduced optical magnitude by roughly 0.8 mag, though it introduced thermal management complications.
