Türksat 5A

Built by Airbus Defence and Space on the all-electric Eurostar E3000EOR bus, Türksat 5A used electric propulsion for orbit raising, taking several months after launch to reach its operational slot at 31° East. The satellite's 42 Ku-band transponders provide television broadcast and broadband coverage across Turkey, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Its arrival at 31° East secured Turkey's frequency and orbital rights at that slot for the satellite's 35-year service life.
