Starlink Launch 17

Success
MAR 04202108:24:54 UTC

B1049's eighth flight carried 60 v1.0 satellites to the 53° shell - launched out of sequence after repeated delays pushed it behind L18 and L19, the first time a numbered Starlink mission flew after a higher-numbered one.

After a clean satellite deploy, the upper stage failed to ignite for its deorbit burn. The stage drifted for 21 days before reentering uncontrolled on March 25, 2021, producing a widely-filmed fireball over the Pacific Northwest.
