The booster recovery on this flight was the maiden landing of A Shortfall of Gravitas, SpaceX's fourth autonomous drone ship — the first time SpaceX had three landing vessels operating simultaneously. External cargo included FBCE, a NASA flow-boiling and condensation facility for studying two-phase heat transfer in microgravity.
