Transporter-5
Among the 59 payloads on this SSO rideshare, PTD-3 (Pathfinder Technology Demonstrator-3) carried TBIRD (TeraByte InfraRed Delivery), a CubeSat built by MIT Lincoln Laboratory. Within weeks of deployment, TBIRD demonstrated a 100 Gbps optical downlink to the ground — at the time the fastest space-to-ground data link ever achieved, and more than 1,000 times faster than conventional radio-frequency links.
