FEB 08202406:33:36 UTCPACE (Plankton, Aerosol, Cloud, ocean Ecosystem) is a NASA Earth science mission orbiting at 676 km (420 mi) in sun-synchronous orbit. Its primary instrument, the Ocean Color Instrument (OCI), is a hyperspectral radiometer that maps phytoplankton distribution and characterizes ocean biology across a far wider spectral range than earlier ocean color sensors. Two multi-angle polarimeters - HARP2 and SPEXone - characterize the size and optical properties of aerosols and clouds to support climate and air-quality research.
