Eutelsat 36D was built by Airbus on the Eurostar Neo platform to succeed Eutelsat 36B at the 36° East geostationary slot. Carrying 70 Ku-band transponders, the satellite delivers more than 1,100 television channels directly to households across Africa, Eastern Europe, and Russia.
