Galileo-L12
FM25 (Patrick) and FM27 (Julina) were two of Europe's Galileo Full Operational Capability (FOC) navigation satellites, part of the continent's independent GPS alternative. Originally manifested on Soyuz ST-B, the pair lost their ride following Russia's invasion of Ukraine; reassigned to Ariane 6, they were delayed again as the new rocket fell behind schedule. Europe contracted SpaceX to carry two pairs of FOC satellites on Falcon 9, marking the 12th Galileo launch overall and the first time Galileo satellites flew on an American rocket.
The first stage was expended on this mission: the energy required to reach the target 23,616 km medium Earth orbit left no margin for a recovery attempt.
