Starlink Group 12-20
21 v2 mini Starlinks - 13 with direct-to-cell capability - reached the 43° shell successfully, but B1086's fifth flight ended in its destruction on the drone ship.
A fuel leak had begun around 85 seconds after liftoff; at altitude, the thin atmosphere prevented ignition, and the booster completed its ascent and landed on Just Read the Instructions. About 45 seconds after touchdown, enough oxygen entered the engine compartment to ignite the leaking propellant. The fire caused structural failure of a landing leg, and B1086 tipped over and was destroyed. SpaceX paused launches for more than a week while investigating the cause.
