Dedicated SmallSat rideshare mission to sun-synchronous orbit, carrying 74 payloads.

EZIE (Electrojet Zeeman Imaging Explorer) is a NASA Heliophysics Mission of Opportunity under the Explorers Program - the first dedicated mission to image auroral electrojets, the intense electrical currents flowing roughly 100 km above Earth's poles that link the polar aurora to Earth's magnetosphere. The three CubeSats fly in a pearls-on-a-string formation and use the Zeeman effect to map the magnetic signature of these currents.
