Falcon 9 delivered eight HIBLEO-4 replacement satellites into a Globalstar constellation that is about to change owners. Amazon agreed in April 2026 to acquire Globalstar for roughly $11.6 billion and fold the network into its Amazon Leo constellation, and Apple - whose iPhone Emergency SOS runs on the network - will move its future satellite services to Amazon Leo once the deal closes.
