ViaSat-3 APAC completed Viasat's three-satellite Ka-band broadband constellation, designed to deliver over 1 Tbps of network capacity across the Asia-Pacific region from a geostationary slot at 155.58° East.

Viasat booked ViaSat-3 APAC in 2019 as the first commercial customer on Ariane 64 - the four-booster variant of Ariane 6. Years of delays to Ariane 6's inaugural flight, compounded by a packed manifest after Soyuz launches were suspended following Russia's invasion of Ukraine, pushed the schedule far enough that Viasat cancelled the Ariane contract in April 2023 and recompeted the launch, ultimately awarding it to SpaceX.
