Starship Flight 12

Block 3's debut flight and the first launch from Pad 2 at Starbase. The ship lost one of its six Raptors during ascent and flew a contingency profile, then released 20 mass simulators through an improved dispenser mechanism along with two camera-equipped Starlink satellites that imaged its heat shield. It completed a controlled Indian Ocean splashdown.

The booster was lost: it flipped abnormally fast after stage separation, most of its engines failed, only one engine ignited for the landing burn, and it impacted the Gulf of Mexico.
