Maiden flight of the Atlas IIIB, which introduced the stretched Common Centaur upper stage later carried over to the Atlas V. On this flight the Centaur flew in its dual-engine configuration, delivering the EchoStar 7 direct-broadcast satellite to transfer orbit.
