Discovery carried out the first ISS crew rotation, swapping the Expedition 1 residents for Expedition 2. It also flew the Italian-built Leonardo logistics module on its debut, the reusable pressurized canister that was lifted into Unity to offload supplies and then returned to the payload bay for the trip home.
