Emerging space power

Australia put a satellite in orbit back in 1967 — the seventh country to do it — but borrowed a US rocket to get there. Gilmour Space is trying to change that with the Eris rocket; the first attempt, from Bowen in July 2025, crashed fourteen seconds off the pad.
