Göktürk-1

Göktürk-1 was Turkey's first purpose-built governmental Earth observation satellite, placed in a 700 km sun-synchronous orbit and capable of sub-0.80-metre-resolution imagery. Built by Telespazio in cooperation with Turkish industry partners TAI and ASELSAN, it is operated by the Turkish Ministry of National Defence for military reconnaissance and civilian applications including mapping and disaster response.
