France's first space-based electromagnetic signals intelligence (SIGINT) constellation. The three CERES (Capacité de Renseignement Électromagnétique Spatiale) satellites were developed by Airbus Defence and Space and Thales Alenia Space for the French defence procurement agency (DGA), designed to detect, locate, and characterize radar and communications emitters globally. VV20 was also the 300th Arianespace launch from the Guiana Space Centre.
