CO3D & MicroCarb

Vega-C placed five French Earth observation satellites into two sun-synchronous orbits on its fifth flight: four CO3D satellites at 502 km and MicroCarb at 650 km. CO3D, built by Airbus Defence and Space with the French space agency CNES, maps the Earth's surface in 3D to produce a global digital surface model. MicroCarb, a 180 kg CNES satellite, measures atmospheric carbon dioxide to map where it is emitted and absorbed.
